Being clear about what you think is important and what you want is fairly easy right now. Use this time to sort through any ambiguities with your preferences. You may find that your current relationships might not be totally in agreement with those preferences. You will have to use tact in order to reach common ground. With some of those relationships, making those preferences known to others will need a gentle and inferential approach. Soft soaping or beating around the bush is not one of you favorite things to involve yourself with. You prefer to be direct and make no bones about what you’re saying. Unfortunately, some of those relationships may be as hyper-sensitive as you are hypo-sensitive. Remember, you attract what you are relative to issue and you attract its opposite through the universe’s attempt to rebalance or neutralize the preferred polarity. One of the advantages of this timing is that you are able to see all options clearly and that this is a prime time to learn how to choose those options to the benefit of yourself and those close to you. You might say the potential to set up a “win/win” situation is at hand. Learning tact has never been high on your list of priorities but is necessary and will be easier to learn now than later.

Your current instinct toward developing friendships is presently driven by your need for security. Think very carefully why you want these connections with any new persons and re-evaluate the ones with your present connections. This kind of security always results in you becoming the one that provides it for the other. Don’t let your emotional need produce a commitment you’ll regret later. No one loves a martyr except for the fact that it was your experience not theirs. Relationships, for you in general, have been of the type that impels you to look at the practicality of what is needed rather than simply filling a void. Remember, the bottom line for a Virgo is that you want to feel needed. Make sure that satisfying that need is not at the expense of your potential to grow beyond your preferences and historical family conditioning.

You have always had the potential to cultivate your drives from your sense of higher values. Whether you have honored that or resorted to practicalities in favor of personal advantage over others has always been a choice. Since June of this year you have had the opportunity to see the advantages and disadvantages of doing both. Use this opportunity to understand and utilize the value of being of service to others. Being of service is not being on call at the discretion of those who need an easy way to circumnavigate their responsibilities at your expense. It is a matter of your doing what you feel will best encourage driving home the value of them answering those responsibilities. Very often it results in your moving far away from being endeared to them for your actions on their behalf. It has often been called “tough love.” It is one of your strong abilities though not necessarily one of your preferred roles.

Relationships have not been easy for you since early June of this year when things started to get “sticky.” However, your ability to see them clearly has improved. Take care of what you need to take care of now for when early February arrives you will lose that clarity. This is your last opportunity for a while to set your relationships on a healthy path by virtue of that current clarity. Setting things right now will establish your balance in relationships for many years to come.
