Two things are very difficult for you to find right now. Where is your ability to discipline yourself and where, exactly, are you headed? With your foundation going through a tremendous shift, you’re at a loss to find solid ground. This makes it extremely hard to plan with any understanding of where the whole scenario is going to take you. Going with the flow is a nice way to be but there’s the beginnings of a raging river that’s threatening to flood a previously parched desert. The best I can offer is to go inside and look at what will make you feel fluid and creative. You’ve been such a stranger, for so long, to this forward movement that the shift feels terrifying. Remember, though, that creativity always has a major element of uncertainty and security always has a major component of boredom. That “security” has dominated the parched desert for a long time. As your topographical references get washed away (and your restraints), you have an open field for creating. Trust is the key. Just listen to where you’ve been to know where you’re going. It’s kinda like seeing your path as the lightening flashes. As quick as it flashes is as quick as it’s gone. You just have to remember the glimpses of what you saw to know your direction. Don’t worry. If you pick the “wrong” direction, it will feel like you’ve gone deaf or blind.

This major shift also brings a new set of requirements for your relationships. There are certain behaviors that you will no longer tolerate in others. This is not to say that you will “dis” them or berate them. You’ll find that it’s better to just say, “Is that so?” and just move on. You will no longer let yourself be affected by them. Reacting is no longer important. Your new path is more important.

In new relationships, don’t grab the first one that passes by that looks good. This will be a long period of “trial and error.” Tasting is more important than buying a whole meal. Your relationships will shift as much as your goals in life shift. There will be more than just the romantic ones. There will be new friends, enemies, support systems, recreational buddies and more. Similar interests will germinate the new relationships.

The first wave of these changes will begin in the last week of October, although, you’ve sensed the impending arrival for some time. The second, and much more meaningful one, will begin next May. Start now by jettisoning who and what block and discourage your curiosity and forward movement.

Be patient. You’ve been patient this long. A little more won’t hurt. Career goals will begin to coalesce in the beginning of 2010. This coming year will be one of experimentation and setting new foundations. Don’t expect to shine. Humility will allow you to be super observant. Just keep your head down, pay attention to whom and what you draw to you and you’ll have a great idea of how effective your movement is. Above all, enjoy yourself!
